About Green Line – Karachi Metrobus

In Karachi, the Green Line rapid transit line has been built in an effort to enhance the city’s rapid transit system. The Prime Minister of Pakistan announced in Karachi, in 2014, plans to build facilities for BRT’s Green Line project, which will result in an increase in traffic flow across the city as well as convenience and comfort for passengers. The Green Line aims to significantly enhance the public transport experience in Karachi by providing a secure and affordable BRT service. This service will operate while assuring buses have the resources necessary for efficient operation, such as having roadway access to the area they travel in order to reduce the amount of waiting time that passengers experience. It is the responsibility of the Sindh Government of Pakistan to administer the Karachi Metrobus service.
