About Pakistan Armed Services Board

PASB is the abbreviated form of Pakistan Armed Service Board, which is an important sector founded after World War I in 1919 as Sailors, Airmen, and soldiers’ board at Rawalpindi, Bombay(India), and Shiekhupura. Initially, there were 28 District Armed Service boards (DASBs) all over the Sub Continent which maintain their working till after Independence. After Independence number of DASBs increased in Pakistan and now PASB owned nearly 63 DASBs all over the country. PASB is one of the Executive departments controlled by the Ministry of Defence. Its secretariat resides at Rawalpindi and the other seven directorates spread in all provincial Capital, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan. This organization is responsible for carrying out Welfare Measures, Pension Related Affairs, and Redressal of Complaints/Petitions. They look after all the matters and rehabilitation of Ex-Servicemen from all three armed forces and also help the retired and serving soldiers where possible, in their Civil matters.
